These lovely ecological soy candles are made in Nurmijärvi, Candle Light Story's home workshop. Scents are born from memories and each candle is carefully designed and handcrafted in Finland. Wax made from organically grown soybeans is poured into a beautiful tin can and a shingle-type wood chip is placed as the core. Plant-based soy wax burns much cleaner than traditional candle wax. That's why this is a great product, e.g. for families with sensitive children or pets. Candlesticks can also be vegan. Choose one of the gentle scents or just the unscented Au Naturel.

Please read these operating and maintenance instructions carefully

The candle must not be left burning unattended, in a drafty place, alone with children or pets, or near curtains. The distance between burning candles should be at least 15 cm.

Combustion:

• Always burn the candle on a non-flammable base
• Allow the wax surface to melt from edge to edge with each firing
• Do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time
• Always fold away the charred part of the wick between firings
• Do not leave debris on the surface of the wax (such as a match)
• Stop burning the candle when there is about 1 cm of wax left

How did The Candle Light Story begin?

I wanted to make and create something beautiful with my hands. I have always dreamed of a career as a creative craftsman. I became familiar with soy wax a little by chance through Instagram. The more I got to know it, the more I got excited about it. In making the candles as a whole, I have been able to fulfill myself and I really enjoy this.

Where are your lovely soy wax candles made?

I make the candles in my home workshop in Nurmijärvi.

What makes your candles unique?

This may sound like a cliché, but I make candles with a lot of love. I really enjoy every moment of this job. I have designed and manufactured everything from scratch myself. This is like my child, which has already grown up a bit and I am really proud of my achievement. The scents are not traditional, many people get a strong smell from scented candles and a headache. On the other hand, the high-quality raw materials and gentle scent of my candles bring a little luxury to everyday life, and these scented candles are really a pleasure to burn. And a certain wooden heart also brings with it the atmosphere of a fireplace when it slowly crackles as the candle burns.

Where do the new scents come from?

The scents go partly with the seasons. But I also want to awaken memories in people with scents. For example, the Essentials scents spring from my own memories. The strongest scent memory takes me to my first trip abroad when I was at school. We were in Morocco as a family at the time. My strongest memory of the trip is related to steaming hot mint tea, which was served in narrow and tall glasses. The smell was intoxicating. Every time I encounter that scent, the memory of that exciting trip floods my mind.

What has been the best in customer feedback?

The best feedback about candles is when you see the enthusiasm in a customer's eyes when they come excited to tell you that they have rediscovered scented candles with my candles. Even those sensitive to smells and asthmatics have been able to smoke these. Soy wax burns cleaner than traditional candles and the scents are of high quality, so it significantly affects the burning experience.
