Valona Design, founded by Helsinki-based designer Elina Mäntylä, manufactures wonderful birch plywood wood decorations by laser cutting. Elina draws her inspiration from traditional decorations and creates light and beautiful design products with a modern twist, such as angels whose design is based on paper angels and their dresses bent into funnels.

Care instructions

Birch is a living material that may react to changes in humidity. If the wooden parts bend, they can be straightened by wetting them and drying them under weight. The wood can also darken a little over time, but if necessary, it can be gently cleaned with a mixture of baking soda.
