Kuukkeli earrings, birch
In Finnish folklore, the hawk was called the "bird of the soul", because it was believed that the forester's soul was transferred to the hawk after he died. At the campfire, the cuckoo behaves as if he knows the wanderer. Kuukkel was also strongly considered a lucky bird, whose display brought good luck. Inspired by these ancient folk mythological stories, Sannico's first Kuukkeli jewelry was born. Kuukkeli jewelry's jewelry box comes with a brochure that tells about these beliefs.
Kuukkeli earrings are made by laser cutting Finnish birch plywood. The jewelry is varnished with a water-based varnish. The hooks are surgical steel.
Kuukkeli jewelry is also available as a necklace.
