Isojärvi National Park

Isojärvi National Park is located in Pirkanmaa in Kuhmoinen. It is a wilderness treasure of Inner Finland, with large mountain lands and gorges covered by forests and water. Isojärvi's rugged forms are the result of 200 million years ago, when the earth's crust moved and tore into northwest-southeast oriented fault valleys. Lake Isojärvi has formed in one rift. The last ice age smoothed the rocks and moved large boulders. It can be difficult to see the beaver flying silently on the surface of the water in the park's waterways, but you can't miss its tracks.
